SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION FOR CHILDREN

​Our Parish Sacramental Program prepares the children for the Sacraments of Confirmation, First Holy Communion and Penance over the course of 3 consecutive years as mandated by the Archdiocese of Brisbane.

Requirements:
  • Registration Form   
  • Baptism Certificate - If your child was baptised at a Parish Church other than Guardian Angels Wynnum, you need to provide a photocopy of their baptism certificate.
  • Children should be in Year 3 or above at time of their enrolment for the Parish Sacramental Preparation.
  • Enrolment in the Parish Sacramental Preparation requires parents to fully commit to the faith development of the child/children they enrol. Faith development includes all of the following:   
           ~Attendance and participation at all Workshop Sessions, Parent Sessions and activities,
                 ~Regular Attendance at Sunday Mass,
                 ~Completion of all Digital Modules,
                 ~Completion of all Workbooks and
                 ~ Learning and memorising the basic prayers at home before lessons begin:
​                         Sign of the Cross; The Lord’s Prayer (Our Father); Hail Mary  and  Glory Be  
  • Lessons are compulsory. 100% attendance is required by both parent and child/children enrolled in the program. 
  • A parent MUST accompany the child to the lessons and remain in the class. This is a requirement under child safety guidelines.   
  • An enrolment fee of $70 to cover the expenses, cost of materials/resources for the 3-Year program (Sacraments of Confirmation, First Holy Communion and Penance).
How to Enrol:
  1. Registration Form (download form) - Complete, sign and submit to the Parish Office.
  2. Pay program fees upon submission of Registration Form (Cash and Credit card accepted)
  3. A Digital Enrolment Form will be sent to your nominated Email address within 3 days.
  4. Compete the Enrolment Form electronically.
  5. Digital Modules, Parent Session and Workshop Session details as well all important information be sent to both your primary and secondary Emails.
