THIS WEEK IN OUR PARISH - Updated as of 3 July 2020
3 July 2020
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being part of our planned giving program.
It is your generous support that gives us the ability to plan the works that are needed to keep our parish together.
This year with the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been difficult for all of us, having to close the Church and celebrate our Masses via the Internet and the use of Facebook. We have all learnt to cope a little differently than we have in the past.
We have been planning, over the last few years, to improve our parish with a much-needed overhaul. Our parish hall has had the new ramp built to give easy access for the disadvantaged and our mums with prams. Our parish office can now take wheelchairs, walking frames and prams and the carpark is much safer.
Later this year, we are planning to paint the outside of the Church during the September school holidays and later in the year; we also plan to paint the inside of the Church.
With the construction of our Columbarium, we have rebuilt the entrance to the carpark and commissioned artwork for the entrance, which is planned to be blessed by the Archbishop in November.
All of this is only possible with the help and support of our parish community through your generous donations like the planned giving program, direct debits and plan giving applications, which allow us to budget for our parish needs.
Once again, thank you for your continuing support and I pray that we will soon be back to a new normal that will see the COVID-19 pandemic behind us. May our dear Lord bless you and your dear families.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Severino Bustamante OFM cap
