SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION FOR CHILDREN

Our Sacramental Preparation prepares the children for the Sacrament of Confirmation, the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of Penance following the program set out by the Archdiocese of Brisbane.
Requirements:
- Sacramental Preparation Enrolment Form
- Baptism Certificate - If your child was baptised at a Parish Church other than Guardian Angels Wynnum, you need to provide a photocopy of their baptism certificate.
- Children should be in Year 3 or above at time of their enrolment for the Parish Sacramental Preparation.
- Enrolment in the Parish Sacramental Preparation requires parents to fully commit to the faith development of the child/children they enrol. Faith development includes all of the following:
~ Attendance and participation at all the sessions and activities
~ Attendance at Sunday Mass, and
~ Learning and memorising the basic prayers at home before lessons begin:
Sign of the Cross; The Lord’s Prayer (Our Father); Hail Mary and Glory Be - Lessons are compulsory. 100% attendance is required by both parent and child/children enrolled in the program. A parent MUST accompany the child to the lessons and remain in the class. This is a requirement under child safety guidelines.
- An enrolment fee of $40 to cover the expenses of the program and the supply of materials over the course of the three years.
